An Indo-French workshop on marine biology and biotechnology was held at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, between 7-9 March 2016. Plans for setting up India's first marine biology institute, the National Institute of Marine Biology and Biotechnology (NIMBB), supported by an Indo-French partnership were unveiled at this workshop.
